Doreen Montalvo, star of television and Broadway, passes away at 56

Hollywood loses another great talent

Hollywood has lost yet another star in Doreen Montalvo.


The television and Broadway actress has died at the age of 56. Her manager said that she passed away on October 17th surrounded by her family and her husband Michael Mann after a sudden illness.


Doreen’s manager continued by saying that not only did she light up the stage with her acting and presence, but also brightened the light in the people around her. She had a successful and diverse acting career where she put her soul into every role. The manager also added that her family appreciates the fact that her work will survive.


The upcoming movies West Side Story and In the Heights will be Doreen’s final appearance on screen. People from every corner of the industry have poured their love onto her during her illustrious career.


Doreen’s last films will hit the box office in 2021. She was best known for her roles in Broadway’s American Mariachi and On Your Feet! Fans of the bug and small screens will remember her for her performances in Tracked, The Good Wife, Smash, and Law & Order.


She made her last Broadway appearance in The Mrs. Doubtfire musical. At this time, it is not clear how exactly she died.
