Narcos Mexico is perhaps one of the most popular and famous shows on Netflix right now, with an uncountable fan following and an 89% rating by Rotten Tomatoes, Narcos Mexico is taking the Netflix world by storm. The first season of Narcos Mexico was unbelievably amazing and left us with many questions inside our minds. Fear not for Netflix has announced a second season for Narcos Mexico.
Narcos Mexico explores the origins of the modern drug war at starting of a time when the Mexican trafficking world was running wild with private individual drug dealers. In the 1980s, Felix Gallardo takes control of the Guadalajara Cartel, by building an empire. As DEA agent Kiki Camarena moves his wife and young son from California to Guadalajara to take on a new post, he learns his assignment is more challenging than he imagined. A tragic chain of events unfolds as Camarena gains intelligence on Gallardo and becomes more entangled in the mission.
Netflix, like always, hasn’t provided us with a fixed release date, but it is confirmed that season 2 of the show will be released anytime next year. It is expected that Diego Luna’s Gallardo will return for the second season of Narcos. Some other characters such as Don Neto played by Joaquin Cosio, James Kuykendall, played by Matt Letscher, Buth Sears played by Aaron Staton, are expected to return to the show with the narrator of the show (Scoot McNairy).
Netflix hasn’t revealed the details of the plot of the second season but will be provided with an idea of the plot that Netflix is about to release.
Narcos Mexico is one of the only historical show that has gained so much popularity in western television. People from all around the world love the show and are looking forward to a second season. Let’s just hope that Netflix releases the second season of the show as quick as possible.
