Yep, it looks like we finally have the release date we’ve been waiting for, for The Crown Season 3. And it comes from a super unlikely source. Read on to find out how Tobias Menzies might just be in a spot of trouble.
Tobias Menzies, Golden Globe nominee joined the cast of The Crown for the third season, replacing Matt Smith as Prince Philip, as announced a while ago. And we’re sure he’ll be great at the role, he’s just not so good at keeping secrets.
The actor recently made an appearance on Jo Goods’ BBC Show. And that’s where he dished on the question fans have been waiting for. When will the show release?
“We shot season three and that starts in November,” Menzies said on the show.
Keeping in mind that this isn’t official yet, it’s most likely true. It sounded like an accident and moreover, Netflix has previously said that the new season is scheduled to come out in “the end of the year.” So November is a believable guess.
The Star-Studded Cast That Blesses Season 3
It’s no surprise that this release date leak is such big and exciting news. Fans have been waiting long and hard for Season 3 of their favorite royal drama and the new season’s cast has pushed anticipations even higher. Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman is joining as Queen Elizabeth II, Game of Thrones and Outlander star Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip and Emmy winner Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret.
Moreover, Emma Corrin is all set to play Princess Diana, an eagerly awaited new character. Also set to star on the show is Jason Watkins playing Prime Minister Harold Wilson, Ben Daniels as Antony Armstrong-Jones, Gillian Anderson in the role of Margaret Thatcher and Emerald Fennell as Camilla Parker Bowles.
Awards, talent, this season has it all prepared for a huge hit.
